Two Expressions of the Cantonese Table

The Lunar New Year is a time of reunion, where the dining table becomes a vessel for connection and meaning.
During the festive period, InterContinental Taichung presents two expressions of Cantonese cuisine,
each responding to a different rhythm of togetherness—from ceremonial family banquets to relaxed shared meals.

Ming Juan Lou|A Grand Cantonese Reunion Banquet

At Ming Juan Lou, a ten-course Cantonese reunion banquet is offered from Lunar New Year’s Eve to the second day of the holiday,
designed for families who value tradition and festive ceremony.

The menu features celebratory delicacies such as lobster, scallops, morel and matsutake chicken soup, red grouper, and premium sea cucumber with abalone,
highlighting the Cantonese emphasis on precise technique, nourishment, and depth of flavor.

Beyond the reunion banquet,
Ming Juan Lou continues to offer chef’s set menus and à la carte Cantonese dishes throughout the holiday period,
with prices from NT$16,888 +10%.
Private dining rooms and thoughtfully spaced seating ensure both comfort and discretion.

Cai Yue Hot Pot|A Relaxed Celebration of Cantonese Broth Craft

At Cai Yue Hot Pot, Cantonese culinary philosophy is expressed through a modern hot pot experience.
On Lunar New Year’s Eve, the restaurant presents a festive reunion hot pot set.

Guests may choose from Hong Kong-style lobster bisque, Penghu seafood broth, or makauy peppercorn broth,
paired with Australian lobster, Japanese oysters, Japanese A5 Wagyu, and handmade shrimp balls,
creating a warm and generous holiday feast.

Throughout the Lunar New Year period,
Cai Yue Hot Pot also offers popular set menus and à la carte selections,
with prices from NT$8,888 +10%.
Both private rooms and dining areas are designed with comfortable spacing,
making it ideal for relaxed gatherings with family and friends.
